In Barguna, date palm trees are being indiscriminately cut down to be used as fuel in brick kilns. This is causing a negative impact on the environment, while traditional date palm trees and juice are facing extinction.
According to local conscious citizens, this reckless destruction of trees is causing nature to lose its balance. Without swift action, date palm trees may disappear completely in the near future.
