Two buses departing from Buri Chong Baksimul Sunnia Islamia Madrasa in Cumilla for an educational trip lost control and fell into a ditch near the Keranihat rail crossing in Satkania, Chittagong. One teacher and another person died, while about 20-25 people were seriously injured and were taken to local hospitals before being transferred to Chittagong Medical College. The bus driver fled the scene.
