The Chattogram district administration has set a remarkable example by planting one lakh tree saplings in a single day. Around 15,000 officials and employees from the metropolitan area and 16 upazilas participated in this greening initiative. Officials have urged to build a social movement for the care and preservation of the trees rather than keeping tree plantation limited to formal programs.
