A submersible pump in Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj is discharging gas along with water, which bursts into flames when a lighter or match is applied to the pipe. This unusual incident has sparked curiosity among local residents.
yaklaşık one year ago, a hardware businessman named Kamrul Sheikh installed the pump at Vasai Bazar in Bandhabari union to supply water to fish-carrying vehicles. As water output decreased over the past week, he tested the pipe with a gas lighter on Wednesday night, causing it to catch fire.
Local residents and the owner have demanded an expert team to investigate the matter. Meanwhile, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saif-Ul-Arefin stated that initial truth has been verified through a land officer and he will visit the site on Friday for further action.
