Bangladesh have won the toss and decided to bat first against West Indies in the first Test of the two-match series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The decision was made by Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim missed out on the playing eleven due to an injury sustained during training on the eve of the match. Tawhid Hridoy has been included in the squad in his absence, with the team selection keeping the spin-friendly Mirpur pitch in mind.
