About us

Welfare of Barishal & news brings the news of all 10 upazilas of Barishal district together in one place. The same event is often reported by several outlets — we combine those reports into one clear story and link to every original source.

Who runs this site

It is a non-profit initiative of Welfare of Bangladesh, which aims to bring every district's local news to its people. Bogura is our first district. Editor: Mashruqe Orin.

How stories are made

• Reports already published by news outlets are collected automatically (Google News, Bing News and local portals).
• Reports about the same event are grouped. Artificial intelligence (AI) writes a short, neutral summary using only the reported facts — it does not add names, numbers or claims.
• Every story page lists the original outlets with links, so readers can check them.
• Video news is shown with YouTube's own player; ownership and views stay with the original channel.

See our editorial policy for details.
